ELODIE VIGNON - piano

On November 2, 2021, Elodie Vignon released her third album "Dans l'air du soir" to mark the 30th anniversary of Cypres. Mirroring an intimate and infinitely delicate Franz Liszt (Trois sonnets de Pétrarque, Trois études de concert), with Isaac Albeniz's Suite Espagnole, she won over listeners and music lovers alike. Jean-Yves Clément awarded her 5 Diapasons and wrote, among other things: "The pianist embodies Petrarch's Sonnets with the eloquent blend of abandon and tenderness that characterizes the triptych...". She also receives a Joker absolu from Crescendo magazine, and her disc is chosen as Disque du jour on En Pistes- France Musique- on November 26, 2021.

It's thanks to a collaboration with Belgian independent label Cypres that Elodie will have the opportunity to make her recording debut. In 2018, she released her first album dedicated to Claude Debussy, which met with great success with audiences and critics alike (4 Classica stars, "Debussy Best Performers" in Pianist Magazine Germany...).
She continues in 2020 with D'ombres, an album featuring the three preludes and the sonata by Henri Dutilleux, combined with "Surgir", a piece commissioned from Claude Ledoux. For the release, Vignon was invited to the Flagey Piano Days Festival, having been on stage in Studio 1 of the same prestigious venue 15 days earlier. Indeed, her collaborative work with dancer/choreographer Nono Battesti, "Entre Temps", had been selected for the Propulse festival. Noted by Classica and Resmusica, she was also invited by Générations France Musique, and nominated for the Octaves de la musique contemporaine. Vignon receives the Octave Point Culture for "D'ombres".

After studying at the Lyon Conservatory, Élodie moved to Belgium 17 years ago, where she studied with Daniel Blumenthal at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. In 2010, she crossed paths with Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, a peerless artist of rare generosity who has inherited from his masters Claudio Arrau and Georges Cziffra a profound knowledge of the repertoire and the instrument. She then became artist-in-residence at the Bell'arte Foundation, founded by Delle-Vigne Fabbri.

She then began to perform extensively in Europe (Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Lithuania...) and the USA, notably under the baton of world-renowned conductors such as Philippe Entremont.
A recent guest at Flagey, the Palais de Beaux-arts de Charleroi, the Festivals de Wallonie, and the Rencontres Inattendues de Tournai, Elodie's main aim is to ensure consistency in her artistic approach through her choice of repertoire and collaborations.
In autumn 2022, she will release a duo album with French contralto Sarah Laulan.
Centered around composers who assert their roots, the program retraces a world tour of well-known masterpieces (Manuel De Falla's Chansons populaires espagnoles) with a number of pieces yet to be discovered (Darius Milhaud's Chansons de négresse, JohnCage's A flower).
